@BlackTie—Once I fell into deep water & MY life started to flash before my eyes! I’m glad I paid attention when I came to the part where I took swimming lessons!

The pier is made of wood.Or so it would appear.

And the next strip will presumably show pig switching from jumping to simply shooting himself in the head as his selected method of ending it all..
