Paul Lynde in the center square.
Ann B. Davis has really let herself go.
THE BRADY BUNCH made a huge comeback several years back on one of the nostalgia channels, and the kids adored it.
Just found out a friend spent eight hours on one zoom call today. He is something of a stolid stick, but geeze!!
Singing about a lovely lady could get you in sexual harassment trouble.
My sister’s version of that song went, “All of them had hair of green… The youngest one in tangles!”
Even Alfred Yankovic made a song about The Brady Bunch in 1984, but in a way he didn’t want to see it.
At least they didn’t start an argument about Ginger versus Mary Ann.
MARCIA MARCIA MARCIA
Which ones Toobin?
and Paul Lynde!
“The object for our players is to get three stars in a row, across, up and down, or diagonally. It is up to them to figure out if a star is giving a correct answer or making one up. That’s how they get the square. Each game is worth two hundred dollars, we play a two-out-of-three match, our players play for four hundred dollars, and once a day we play the Secret Square game. We’ll play that game as soon as we complete the one in progress.”
(Typed completely from memory. I wonder what practical use those brain cells could have been put to if they hadn’t been wasted storing that speech all these years.)
Okay, that’s actually cute. And I’m betting people under 30 will get the reference. There’s probably lots of ironic Brady Bunch videos on YouTube.
If he hadn’t made the reference, one of us would have.
I’d rather forget that reference if you don’t mind.
I have a question, but I’m not sure anyone can give me the answer. I’ll try anyway… If a two-headed girl is on zoom, does she get one spot or two? Discuss and get back to me.
I’m over 30 and I don’t get the reference.
If it’s about the Brady Bunch, that explains it. I always changed the channel when I saw that come on.
Rat and Pig channeling their Jan!
Anyone remember when Wally Cox was on Hollywood Squares?
Zoom calls or not, meetings are typically useless.
Marcia! Marcia! Marcia! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=w2fXs3bf-p0
Yes they will because Boomers and Xers have been making that joke at Zoom meetings since April.
Wow, all this time I thought the character’s name was spelled Marsha.
Would love to see all the PBS Gang on a “Zoom” call ! … Croc Power !
The Biden Bunch?
What’s with the Amish guy in the upper left? Or am I over-interpreting?
I’m playing in an online chess tournament this weekend. In addition to the actual playing interface, they want everyone to have a webcam set up behind them and a little to the side so they can make sure that people aren’t running chess analysis programs on their computers. When the tournament is over, the web cam gets disconnected, and I have no need to use Zoom for anything else.
Brady Bunch sucked. The family was nothing, but perfect, and flawless
Nobody under 30, and nobody over 30 in a country other than America.
my vote is for Bonaduce
Marcia? Did I miss something?
Nothing that rings a bell for us here in India. But Zoom calls are the bane of our existence for many of us too!
Great, now I’ll be singing that f##king song all day.
This is precisely why I don’t do group Zoom chats. It’s overwhelming and I feel like part of the Brady Bunch or Hollywood Squares
Oh, this is going to be a 400+ likes day, under thirty or not.
I guess there’s an upper limit as well. I recognize the layout from memes, but that’s all.
I prefer zoom meetings to in person meetings generally.
Peter Marshall: In The Wizard Of Oz, the Tin Man wanted a heart, and the Lion wanted courage. What did the Straw Man want?Paul Lynde: He wanted the Tin Man to notice him
I knew I wasn’t the only one who thought Brady Bunch during Zoom meetings.
Oh, no. I got the reference loud and clear… Even those nine panels… Oh, the horrors…
How did we ever get “Marsha” out of “Marcia”?
Say, give it up, give it up, television’s taking its tollThat’s enough, that’s enough, gimme the remote controlI been nice, I been good, please don’t do this to meTurn it off, turn it off, I don’t want to have to see……..
No comments from the Peanut Gallery.
Will anyone under sixty understand the reference?
There are many familar with The Brady Bunch, but for those like me who experienced it first run once a week at the same age as the characters, it was special. Pig I too was a Jan fan
The constant references from old farts (I mean, respected elders) must have triggered more attention than “Brady Bunch”, “Hollywood Squares”, and later seasons of “Muppet Show” have enjoyed in a long time.
Is it me or is Stephen sending out some sort of hidden message about his mental state with all these comics this year? It’s like he’s depressed.
Should strike a chord with individuals with colleagues names Marcia.
Everyone knows Jan was hot to trot!
I was always partial towards Jan.
Even a Dilbert reference with the PHB!
Under 30..? More like under 40!
I miss Anne B. Davis. Best actor in the show and several others.
I’m 75 and I haven’t got a clue.
Some will. And hate themselves for it.
Under 30? How about more than twice that and still had to read the comments to get the reference (not a TV buff). Still don’t get who Marcia is. Or the joke.
Nice….but I’d venture that you’d have to say forty, not thirty…I saw less and less of these kinds of shows in syndication by the early ’80s and the only thing I ever watched by that time was MTV and The Movie Channel…
As you well know, the 9th grade English teacher is over 30, so of course I remember the Brady Bunch. You know you’re old when even your former students are over 30.
Trivia challenge (not really): Why was Jan Alice’s “favorite”?
My teacher daughter places a bunny in the window of the kid allowed to speak.
It was in syndication well into the 80s and 90s. When my oldest son was about 7 he was describing something to me and then said, “Now here’s the groovy part …”. I said, “Groovy?” He said, “Yeah, that means ‘cool’.” I said, “I know what it means; I just never expected my son to say it!”
He’d been watching episodes of The Brady Bunch.
Did Pig prefer Jan?
I turned 30 a couple months ago and got this reference. So yeah, this is one accurate punchline.
The scary part was the end where the Paramount mountain starts zooming right at you. Ahhhhhhh!
I don’t miss Marcia, or the entire show. Grew out of that show as a teenager.
I was always a Jan fan.
Nipsy Russel for the block.
I had a Huge crush on Jan

Never could stand Brady Bunch. Give me any Bob Newhart show any day of the week!
Bobby went bald.
Oh, Pig! You are a true Pop Cult porker, an icon of the LCD-crowd….
sounded familiar but could not get the hang of it till I saw Marcia in the last panel. I didn’t watch the series but I saw the spoof movie
Only if they watch MeTV.
