¿La vaca saltó sobre la luna?
Too bad the name “El Pollo Loco” is already taken.
Did NASA have a Mooo-n shot! That cow would be handy in the milky way!
Me gusta el pollo en el cielo!
Splendid! I look forward to seeing more of the chicken.
Oye como va, mi ritmo…
He must be in Vacaville.
Welcome aboard, Stephan Pastis, may you have many pleasant trips. Maybe we’ll meet up on some strange trip someday.
Robert Crumb and Gilbert Shelton were better at this sort of thing.
You could cook some cow and chicken in that pan. Dinner on the moon.
An English friend will say, “Don’t be sorry, just don’t do it again!”
As a Canadian, je ne parle pas espagnol.
¡Ay carramba! Space Chicken on frying pan UFO. Will he meets SPAAACE GHOOOOOOST? Tune in to our next exciting episode of…
Es más alto que una cometa
Great new character! He’s a lot different from your earlier birds. They were more round.
I guess that means his comic has gone to pot…
This is already better than every strip about social media.
Is that the cow that jumped over the moon? Look out below Verne! (Over the Hedge reference.)
For those of us who don’t know any Spanish, what is he saying?
That’s okay, all the Spanish I know comes from watching Cheech and Chong movies.
Es pollo caca
I don’t speak Spanish. Did I miss out on a hilarious pun?
Pastis es Muy Tonto, Si?
That’s O.K. since Guard Duck is on Anti-Aircraft patrol…
An emissary of the Flying Spaghetti Monster perhaps?
Dave’s not here
Apology accepted. But don’t let it happen again.
You had to be there to understand
That simple apology doesn’t go far enough…!
Come back little chicken!!!
Rat with his bat will take care of that.
He needs to be careful: there are flying teapots and toasters all around…
como estan estrellas: how are you stars
la vaca: cow
adios caballeros: goodbye gentlemen
Smoke more grass, Steph. This is great
Now even the comics are going Spanish. I’m sure this will probably outrage some, but I for one am tired of English being slowly supplanted as the common language of the US. And yes, I am well aware the US does not have an official language.
Chicken in the Sky with Diamonds…
So strange to have a Pastis character without a pun in the name. Just a pan.
I can’t tell if I’m now seeing more ads in Spanish, or just more aware of them.♪ Paranoia will destroy ya ♪
Absolutely the most original cartoon from anyone in a very long time. ¡magnífico!
I think the new character is saying eat la vaca, not chicken.
Will this series be censored in the newspapers?
Mucho sehr gut.
¿Por qué? No; it’s butter!
If he were in Canada, we might be subject to his art on magic mushrooms.
Most regrettable is the loss of proper English in the character “whom” he created.
That’s a pretty amazing “now legalized substance”. Pastis doesn’t even speak Spanish.
Si si señor, muy bien, gracias! Bawk bawk bawk bawk…..
Yeah, well, beans & disease to you, too!
(This is too much of an obscure joke. Here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7iGQc53qTNs)
It’s all Greek to me …
I’m pretty sure this is the cow that regularly falls on Verne in Over the Hedge.
Thank you, high school Spanish classes. I can actually make out what this means.
Sadly my Spanish language skills are limited pretty much to ordering at Taco Bell.
LOL! And I don’t even know what it’s saying.
I don’t think that chicken will be returning anytime soon.
I feel like I’m on the Dilbert in Spanish page. (It intrigues me that uses the latest Dilberts as the English version’s latest are apparently not authorized on Go-Comics.)
This needs more than pot
Great! Following in the footsteps of Seth Rogen and Kevin Smith. Nice knowing you, Stephan.
Yo amo el pollo! Mas por favor!!!
Someone translate please.
Hey, I get the joke, Stephan, even if some delicate little cupcakes don’t!
There’s an old Spanish expression, which I’ll politely but broadly translate, " The only way a woman or hen will stay home is if their leg is broken! "
Any chance that that chicken might meet up with Super-Cow? You know, from “Cow and Chicken”.
I thought the editors were supposed to weed out crummy strips…
Que Magnifico, me gusta la gallina hablar Español en una sarten levitan
Stephan, you need not be coy about if you may or may not have partaken of a particular substance. I think your readership has generally assumed you’ve been doing so all along.
Cultural Appropriation Police are arming up at this very moment.
The cow must be Swiss. It’s full of holes.
Is this strip supposed to be humorous?
There are times when I think this whole comic strip is an inconvenience!
Hmmm, that last line is a little gender discriminatory…
This is probably the last we’ll see of Spanish-Speaking-Chicken-in-a-Levitating-Frying-Pan. Pastis has used all the Spanish he knows…
I found myself squealing (the kind that’s like laughter) in the 4th panel, so I say, “Brilliant!”, no, wait, “Brilliant fun!”
…. a fried chicken, cartoonist…?
… a fried, chicken cartoonist…?
he’s going to sell a thousand t-shirts.
Take off of “Go take a flying duck at a rolling doughnut”
I changed the Fowl language.
I hope Stephan is not doing this. Alcohol and drugs don’t improve creativity, nor do they improve productivity. I’ve seen so many writers destroy their careers doing something this dumb.
Only two strips with this guy, and it’s three strips too manym
Let’s hope he recovers his wits – soon.
Yeah, my doctor cut my pain meds. I don’t understand it.
me encanto el pollo nuevo!
Quien es Andrews McMeel?
when can I get a Spanish-Speaking-Chicken-in-a-Levitating-Frying-Pan plush toy?
The Flying Fryer
Call for SUPER CHICKEN
Anyone else need a translation? Three years of Spanish in high school, but that was over twenty years ago and I barely remember much of what I learned.
I like it!
the adventures of space chicken ala pan!
I couldn’t have been the only person who turned to the Spanish version to see what it looked like, but the latest strip is from January 31st. I have to wait six months to see how this will play in the Spanish version?
In the meantime, people can cut out this strip from their newspaper to use as rolling papers.
Very Funny — LOLOL
Apology not accepted!!!!!!!!
Let’s hope Stephan has recovered his health by Monday. ;-)
At least someone is happy with this comic. Or did Steve sober up?
How many installments of This Chicken Sh^t Thing did Cartoon-Boy leave at the syndicate before he was dragged off to Rehab?
No, no, no. Cow jokes are properly told in French. As in, “Fetchez la vache!”
I live in Michigan. I am 90 miles from Canada (in ANY direction) ….. but I STILL have to choose between “English” and “Espanol” when I’m at the ATM.
……. Why not FRENCH???
This world is CRAZY!!!
Need to listen to Pink Floyd’s “Echoes”, or Grateful Dead’s “Blues for Allah”
Real missed opportunity to call it a flying pan
How are you, stars?, it says. COW! COW!, it says. GOODBYE, GENTLEMEN!, it says.
Hopefully it never comes back.
First time my hometown has made it into a PBS strip. Mark HowellPort Lavaca, TX
Hvað var nú þetta?
“partaken of”? Is that correct grammar?
Es lamentable, pero no hablo español. ¿La broma es graciosa?
