As long as those two have been together,Nelson. Opal knows everything about,Earl.
My wife and I used to share the paper: She got section 1 and I got the comics and want ads. Then we’d swap. Nowadays, there’s no point buying a local paper, so neither one of us has an actual paper to read (she does get the online version).
you just want to read — oh, I don’t know — the comics, horoscopes, or even obituaries, don’t you, Earl?
For some, there’s a fine line between “borrow” and “hog.”
Simple humour but the last panel made me laugh.
Nelson got your number, Earl!
The demise of newspapers was the cause of early retirement for me. (Advertising sales). How can I justify the increasing cost of advertising vs the continued drop in circulation numbers? And how do I reach my sales quota (goals set against sales the previous year) with less advertising? --I must confess that I no longer read a paper newspaper.
She certainly is, Nelson!
Glad we still get a newspaper. What they put on line is not the same as what is printed in the paper. The paper itself is used for many purposes and thus cuts down on the need for paper towels. Thus there is no waste just many ways of using what you have on hand. Something a lot of folks are starting to do because of C-19 . Think outside of the box ;-)
I miss actual print newspapers. They were very useful for swatting idiots in the back of the head.
Is this from 1990?
Wonder what Section Earl reads? Opal is probably looking for the fashion and living section….
> Mommy, whats News Paper?
Ours, whether in print or on-line is the same slanted bias, so no use buying a subscription of either.
You nailed it, Nelson!
He wants to read Pickles to see what Leon is using about then now.
Geezus, guys, totally unnecessary “situation”. . .LEARN TO USE THE COMPUTER/KINDLE/NOOK. . .
Opal knows he just wants to take it to the porcelain reading room, for longer than 2 minutes, and after that she won’t want to touch it.
Thinking Earl needs to hit the bathroom…
No fighting over the newspapers in our house. We get our newspapers online.
Go home Nelson.
Part of the reason for the demise of newspapers, especially the local ones, is people not subscribing to them.
Get behind her, hot breaths on her neck, and read away.
I quit buying the newspaper but only because of my delivery person.
Do they really read the same section though??? I only read the funnies now that 100% of the paper is covid-news.
Little eyes watching and learning.
My brother always bought two papers so he could share the spare. They still wanted the sports section from his main one. That’s less of a problem lately (especially since he died four and a half years ago…he was a better person than I am).
