Not what, Opal was looking for, Earl. Not by a long shot.
And you don’t make much effort on your appearance anymore
For a fat broad you don’t sweat much.
It is snot? Offer her a hankie
Opal should not have opened that can of worms.
When fishing for compliments, you don’t always catch the kind of compliment that you were hoping for. (Maybe she should have used a different kind of bait.)
“You sweet talker, you.”
(whereupon she throws herself into his arms)
Give a little more thought into it next time Earl!
If you can’t live without me why aren’t you dead yet?
Gross… then again, fishing for compliments or expecting them is a huge turn off.
Next time, you may want to specify what you want Earl to compliment you on!
Gawd, the don rickles/rodney dangerfield kind of humor. . .ugh!
’’You’re a better cook now. I don’t get sick like I used to.’’
If her nose was running money, she’d blow it all on Earl. ;-p
I hope Earl has his blanket and pillow close by. He’ll be sleeping on that couch tonight.
Something is better than nothing…
Ew! Earl is downright mean to her with that remark….and Opal! Stop fishing for compliments…you don’t like it when Earl takes the bate, so shut up!
Does your butt make our couch look small?
Maybe if Olive didn’t make all those nasty comments to Earl, he just might
Compliments on her makeup don’t impress Opal much anymore.
This is the fundamental difference between children and adults. The definition of adult is one who does not need constant reassurances. I’m not saying a special effort like preparing to go out should not be recognized; I’m just saying one should not need “clockwork flattery” to feel loved.
Personally, my second wife’s earlobes were two of her more endearing features. :)
Well Opal, you used to do little things for me too. But now you don’t seem to do them anymore..
Danke fürs bemerken!
She’s the one who needs to learn to be nice!
It’s hard to compliment someone when they refuse to except it.
Work smarter, not harder. Hmmm, on second thought, both.
Opal you will not get what you want on Earl.
Why would Earl compliment her on anything when she constantly insults and belittle’s him?
After so many compliments Earl runs out of compliments.
Better to remain silent and be thought a fool than to speak and to remove all doubt
