Hope Opal isn’t using a permanent marker.

Maybe Earl should wear a hat or a toupée in order to be prevented to be Opal’s notepad.

Opal seems to regard Earl either as a convenience, or an inconvenience – nothing more

A Handy Daddy Note Pad? Or does she sometimes use the top of his head to fix her makeup when a regular mirror isn’t available?

Perhaps it’s time to buy a rug.

It’s nice to feel both useful and handy. Earl uses head and Opal also uses Earl’s head – just in different ways.
