I feel sorry for Muffin.
On the way to Abu Dhabi…sorry, wrong cat!
Look at the pickup times on the mailbox. If it is 5 minutes from now, Muffin may be OK.
We could all see that one coming.
In my mind I picture Roscoe behind the chair, snickering like Muttley. Anyone remember Dick Dastardly?
Once you mail something you cannot retrieve it. At least that is how it is around where I live.
Confucius say: Never take cat to mailbox.
Move along now, muffin to see here
Things may be getting bad when you cannot tell the difference.
(On the other hand at least we’re rid of the cat!!)
No Muffin, It a letter box, Not a litter box
Like most people i can be rather absent-minded at times, but I don’t know how scatterbrained someone would have to be to stuff their cat down the mailbox without realizing lol
Mailbox? What is this “mailbox” of which you speak?
I imagine putting a cat in a mailbox is even more difficult that putting a cat in a pet carrier.
I know when the mail person opens the mailbox Muffin will greet him or her with teeth and claws, it gets hoy inside them!
Laugh out loud strip today.
I remember Sankt Pauli red district… Smokers of roulette, players of opium….
With the new mailboxes and their ultra thin slots barely big enough to manage two letters at a time, Opal must have had quite the bother getting that cat in.
OMG! And I thought I had senior moments, lol!
Mailed to Abu Dhabi with Nermal?
OR at least a return address….
At least it wasn’t a dirty diaper.
Aaaaacckk! What was Opal thinking? LOL
uh- what’s this “letter” to which you refer?? /s
I’m hoping this is like that Porky Pig episode, where he was trying to get rid of that dog, and the dog shows back up in a kilt, with all the souvenir stickers of the countries he’d been to, stuck all over him.
Let’s hope, indeed, Earl; otherwise the PO might return the nasty thing!
Oh, no, poor Muffin!
I think it’s 35 dollars to ship a cat to Siberia. But I could be mistaken. No worries though, if the cat has a collar with an address or phone number it will be returned for lack of enough postage. (ie the movie Mouse Hunt 1997)
How’d she do that without getting scratched and clawed!
First, It’s stupid to think she would accidentally stuff the cat in the mailbox. And second, a lost cat isn’t funny at all.
Another sign of dementia there Opal?
I did that the other day. I threw the package in the sink and the food in the trash. Fortunately, it was dry pasta, and I had another package in the pantry.
One way to be rid of the cat.
The punch line is great!
I hope Muffin doesn’t rip all the mail before someone gets her out.
Don’t think the SLOT’S big enough for a cat……. STILL FUNNY THOUGH.!!!
She might have just set the cat down to put the mail in the box and walked away. Muffin might already be home some place.
If not enough postage he will be returned to sender.
Postmaster General knocks on her door: Hello, dear. I was just called away from my golf match and I’m very upset. >
Who needs this kind of nightmare Sunday morning? :(
I’m sure Earl would be pleased to see Muffin mailed and gone forever.
Senior moment, Opal?
I know cats like boxes, but I think that’s going to be one freaked out cat.
Insufficient postage and no proper return address equals Muffin’s stuck at the post office
This is really dumb, Could anyone really be senile enough to stuff a cat into a mailbox?
So far my absentee memory isn’t that bad.
At least I’m not the only one…
when Muffin gets delivered the cat will be out of the mailbag
This posted comic is not the one I saw in the local newspaper today (Sunday) that my wife bought this a.m.! This is definitely funnier. The one in today’s newspaper titled Classic Pickles and was comparing an aging Roscoe with Earl and ending up with a typically derogatory remark. How that man can tolerate her is beyond belief. BTW looked up “Classic Pickles” and only found the kind in a jar. Maybe the newspaper is cutting costs by recycling comics? I’m glad I don’t have a subscription anymore!
…talk about your dementia! ouch!!
’Taint funny, McGee. Well actually, I guess it is. Fear not, no self respecting cat would willing let someone slip it into a mail box without a struggle so the human would have to know what was happening
