My daughters loved (still love, but they’re grown-up now) going to restaurants when they were little. One time we went to a rather fancy Chinese Restaurant & even the waitstaff commented on how well behaved the girls were.
When I was twelve, on vacation with my family, we ate at a restaurant and I remembered how the food seemed so bad. About four years later, we ate at the same restaurant, and I was impressed how much better the food tasted. Give ’em time.

Tell the girls that you are going to a fancy restuarant with fancy food. They will find an excuse not to go with you..

I’m willing to give a new restaurant a couple of weeks to work the bugs out before trying them

Girls: Pizza slice, soda, canolli and gelato. Adults: Pasta Primavera with sliced chicken & shrimp Carbonera and white wine? (Maybe some Calimari?) :)
