    And the second panel. Note, however that Winslow does say “Tell me again”. I guess stantis is being extra-conservative with his strip ideas.

    We can tell that Opie is a long term Conservative. Otherwise why why would he be wearing a Goldwater t-shirt.

    This strip also appears to have “borrowed” from Doonesbury. In the 70s, there was a Doonesbury character from American Samoa named MacArthur, who got his name during WWII after a Douglas MacArthur victory. When told that it wasn’t such a bad name, he replied “Try telling that to my sister Doug.”
