My taxes are going down, my investments are going up. Isis is on the run, Illegal immigration is down, our military is getting more respect, and we are starting to cut off nations that work against us. I just can’t understand the people who are livid and nasty about that.

    Big ideas?

    Like universal health care?

Like not buying weapons the military doesn’t need and doesn’t want?

Like requiring employers to use E-verify to screen illegals?

Like keeping statistics of gun violence?

Like investigating Russian interference in our elections?

Like including vetrans’ benefits as part of the military budget?

    .

    Nah. No big ideas exist.

Am I the only one getting tired of seeing the president portrayed as a skunk? The artist might not like Trump or his tweets, but the office deserves a bit of respect. Just what does this guy want from Trump? Not many presidents have had a good relationship with the press. Trump has simply said in public, with great force and pungency, what many of predecessors felt in private. He has done nothing unconstitutional, unlike his predecessor, and has not spied on his opponents, also unlike his predecessor. So just what is this guy’s gripe? I’m about ready to drop this tripe, and I’ve read it since day 1.

As for the Artist Mr. Stantis, I feel he is one of the more balanced political cartoonists. The skunk depiction is no big thing, but on this strip his statement of “Lack of Big ideas”, I have to disagree with. Tax reform is major, getting rid of the insurance mandate is Big, putting the UN and other nations on notice is very Big and new, and if we can actually get a reform on immigration that has been kicked down the road for decades just like the Korea issue that would be HUGE!!!!!!!!
