   Thanks for all your kind words over my cousin’s passing. I talked to her sister today and think I may have temporarily lifted her spirits with my addressing the humor and shenanigans we got into as youngsters on a working farm.

   I found out that the most important and most cherished person that I know passed away last night. She and her sister are the sisters I never had. We as cousins spent every summer together on our grandfather’s farm in Alberta for 18 years. She had ALS, but passed away because of pneumonia or a heart attack. Better she went as she did rather to continue to have your body continue to degrade and diminish your abilities. My life has been truly blessed and improved to have had her in my life. As we lived our lives, I should have passed first. Life is never fair.
