The dynamics of human interaction in my elevator was fascinating. Probably the only reason that the monotony was tolerable.
Another logical fallacy. OR, it’s because jails and prisons are overrun with people are being arrested, charged, and convicted. Who do you think is in our punishment-based system to the tune of 1.2 million (2021 stats)?
Because non-veterans pay taxes too. Did that really need to be stated?
Everybody pays taxes. It’s a myth that has taken hold in some circles, but it just ain’t true. The numbers who don’t that are often trotted out include children. Those less well off (I presume this is of whom you speak) still pay sales taxes (a truly regressive tax). They pay fees. And, they pay the costs of higher prices for a variety of items/services for those usually listed as the only ones who pay taxes. Don’t businesses plan their price structure knowing what their potential tax bills will be?
Same here. What’s your point? The commenter (dnle) says only veterans should vote. That means I could not vote as I’m not a vet. Remember “no taxation without representation”?
Um, again, the plane was found. Maybe if science was studied a bit more? Here you go:
“What are Newton’s Laws of Motion? An object at rest remains at rest, and an object in motion remains in motion at constant speed and in a straight line unless acted on by an unbalanced force. The acceleration of an object depends on the mass of the object and the amount of force applied.” (NASA.gov)
See, the plane’s continued flight after the pilot ejected is irrelevant to politics. It keeps moving and considering its speed, it had a wide area where it could have hit the ground. Saying it was lost and asking for the public’s help potentially saves a costly search. And, remember, it was found.
Because only they pay taxes, right?
I worked 15 years as an elevator operator. The job had its ups and downs.
Another truly head-scratching cartoon and series of comments. What is the GOP solution other than require everybody have a gun and lock “those people” up all the while keeping taxes down (or non-existent)?
If only they had included a love letter a la what Kim sent to Trump, eh?
