I dunno, dtut. More and more, both choices look equally crappy.

Speaking of which, Wiley, your sign is missing a line about sociopaths being fast-tracked :)

pschearer -I hope you’re not advocating anarchy as a workable form of government, unless you want to return to people living in communes of under 50 and scratching in the dirt.

It’s not propoganda. Most of the major infrastructure projects in North America were make-work funded by the government – Canadian and US – to get out of the depression and keep the economy fueled through the end of World War II. Pick up a book and refresh yourself on the New Deal.

We’re headed that way again (if anybody’s smart) mostly because the life expectancy of a lot of those same projects are crapping out, and why have people sitting on the dole doing nothing but watching Jerry Springer? Same for people sitting in prison… I’m sure they could be doing better things than printing license plates and hanging out in a yard.

Nabuquduriuzhur said, about 6 hours ago Doubt it. With a quarter million greek papyri, codicies and texts from the first to third centuries, the Bible is the only book from antiquity that can be said to be unchanged.

Hate to be the source of information, Nab, but the old testament derives from the Torah, which means it’s a translation, and the linguists agree that many words in the Torah have multiple meanings that weren’t translated. Also the King James Version was rewritten to support the changes to the church, including the idea of Ordained Clergy.

If the choices are between 3 feet of snow and an inch of ice, I’d take the snow. Otherwise, have fun chipping open your car door…

Speaking as another occupant of the currently great white north, I’m sick of snow too. This after 3 days of above 0 temperatures, including a high of +10c, which had practically melted everything from the three feet of blizzard we had at the beginning of February. Now it’s -14c again. Sigh.

Always make friends with the neighbors who have snowblowers. Why get one yourself? They’re cranky, ornery beasts which always have air or fuel problems.

This strip reminds me of Ecclesiastes too, Scatty: For with much wisdom comes much sorrow; the more knowledge, the more grief.

Go home and build a blanket-fort, dude! That’ll get ya well on your way to recovery.

    Happy New Year, Wiley!

Andy’s surprisingly devious for a woman who cooks tofu and eggplant. Too bad she isn’t as devious about hiding the healthy stuff (ie, soft tofu and pureed spinach in spaghetti sauce).

I’ve gotten away with that one, no one the wiser.
