    Unpaid leave, of course.

  2. 13 days ago on Gil

I’m not sure if you’re serious or joking. Assuming you’re serious, the scene of the school is clearly part of Gil’s dream sequence. (Note the scalloped edges around the scene.) Thus the “Not in a good way” comment.

  3. 20 days ago on Frazz

Knowing Frazz, I bet that’s a battery-powered leaf blower. So, no more problem than having, say, a flashlight in a bath tub.

  4. 23 days ago on Arlo and Janis

A couple days ago, Janis mentioned that the kids are starting a take-out deli. Mary Lou and Meg are probably working “front of house” – the cash registers, etc.

Well, the counselor IS Hamlet! He probably thinks of Shakespeare as his father or teacher or mentor or something.

  6. 26 days ago on Gil

“The objective is: ‘Get the cheese!’, not ‘Run the maze!’” (Seen on an office poster showing a rat who has crashed through all of the walls of the maze to get to the cheese.)

Also see: “James T. Kirk and the Kobayashi Maru scenario”

(I get your point; I’m just presenting an alternate viewpoint.)

  7. 27 days ago on Spot the Frog

Go back to the previous day. Spot and Buddy made a snowman but the head fell off. It rolled down the hill, then Lumpy ate it. Spot is freaked out because he thinks that means the snowman will come to life and search for its head.

“Frazz” from 02 Sep 2021 is at least somewhat related to this comic. “I love being told I’m growing up wrong by people I don’t want to turn out like.” https://www.gocomics.Com/frazz/2021/09/02

“What do you want to be when you grow up?”

    “Happy.”
