In 1973, the law lowered the drinking age to 18 – I turned 18 4 days later. (But I didn’t drink again until sophomore year of college – I did more drinking via Staten Island when i was 17! (I googled & saw that it was raised to 19 in 1980, then federally it was back to 21 in 1984)
Our local high school does this for fundraising; “You’ve been flocked!” Then you pay to have them removed.
I find that it’s necessary these days; for some reason I can’t just turn the page without doing that!
