You surely noticed that when Mr. Bush supported the democrat Congress tax increase the economy went into recession?
“Trickle down” is sending your money to the government and expecting their spending to make your life better. “Tax and spend” never seemed dumber than today.
“Trickle down” is mark of a small mind. The better term is “freedom of choice.” Individuals make the spending the decisions rather than the overlords. You err fundamentally; only works every time it is tried.
Broadly agree with the comic. Mr. Reagan launched the second greatest economic growth period in American history (vs 1880-1913) ended only when the democrats took over Congress in Jan 2007. All he did was constrain bureaucrats and simplify taxes; a consistent formula for economic success.
In my rant I failed to acknowledge exceptions. Lady Gaga writes interesting music, she plays it well, and she sings it well; I wish she knew an Alan J Lerner.
I partially disagree, I find much music enjoyable from 1650 through 2000. Reasonably certain the newer “music” lacks melody, which is the essence of music. I perceive rap is nothing more than the lame “beat” poetry of my youth updated, or in the worst cases Arnold Schoenberg imitated. If the Boston Pops can play a discernable arrangement of a song, it has a melody, and if it is interesting, it is “music.” Merely chanting angry things is more like a political rally.
I once coated a pole with lithium grease, and that worked until a chipmunk showed them they could run up the pole instead of climbing.
Removing books from a youth library is not “banning.” There are numerous groomers endeavoring to share their perversions.
Interesting that you raise those two, I would abolish traffic laws that do not injure another, and I would eliminate the income tax, replacing it with the FAIR tax.
Leftist elitists always want to micromanage the lives of the powerless.
