   Good morning, Vagabonds.

   So far so good with Buddy. Both cats are using both boxes and no more “accidents” yet. Buddy is such a sweet cat and he and Pinto are really getting along and playing together now. His purr is almost inaudible. He curled up against my ear this morning and I could hear it through his body, but other than that we haven’t heard him purr at all. Contrast that with Pinto who never found his volume control. His purr is very loud.

   Not much on the agenda today. We’re enjoying sitting in the sunshine and just doing our “thing”. Michael’s download finished yesterday (total of 35 gigabytes!) and today he plans to spend at least part of the day playing his new game.

   Good morning, Vagabonds.

   Better news than yesterday. Michael talked me into trying again with Buddy. We’ve bought a second litter box and took Buddy to the vet for his free post-adoption visit. The vet said there isn’t anything physically wrong and that he should settle down soon. He’s still pretty new in this environment. We also bought another bottle of “Nature’s Miracle” which removes the odors from a kitty “accident”. He did not anoint anything last night, so perhaps we are on the right track.

   Michael has been downloading a new computer game. So far it has been over a week of download time. We are in the “over the limit, therefore slower” portion of our “unlimited” wi-fi so the download speeds are about 600Kps. It is at 96% so it should finish today. I just hope it was worth it.

   We watched “The Rock” last night. I had forgotten just how much they used the f-bomb in that movie. Other than that, it is exciting, funny and gets the blood moving.

   Laundry today and more cross-stitching. With a high of around 65, it should be a beautiful day.

   Good morning, Vagabonds.

   Today I am sad. Buddy has turned out to be a cat who finds the use of a litter box optional. I cannot and will not abide that. I put up with it when Blaze was sick because I had to, but I won’t live with a cat who pees on my furniture. So he goes back to a shelter today. And it’s breaking my heart.

   Other than that, today should be a great day. Beautiful weather and a prayer meeting this morning. The cross stitch I am making for Mike is really coming along – it’s about 1/3 done after 9 days and I have several more weeks to get it done before we leave.

   Good morning, Vagabonds.

   Mark, M & I were just talking the other day about how various states abbreviate their department of transportation. You mentioned VTrans, California is CalTrans, Texas is TxDot and Nevada is N-Dot. I wonder how other states have gotten creative with this.

   We went to see the new “Murder on the Orient Express” yesterday. It is a really good movie. So many details are the same as the book, and so many are enough different so that there are still some surprises, even though we practically know the original by heart. It was a lot of fun. I think this is perhaps the 4th “Murder” movie we have seen, Peter Ustinov, Albert Finney, David Suchet and Kenneth Branaugh (the new one) all play Poirot very well. There may be another one in there, I’m not quite sure. My favorite is the Albert Finney version with almost all of the roles played by big stars like Ingrid Bergman, Lauren Bacall and Sean Connery.

   It’s another beautiful day in the neighborhood. It’s 47 on its way up to 65. The sun is shining and it warms up in here pretty fast when I open the blinds.

   I’m with Mark about the holiday. Being retired takes the “special” out of the Monday holidays. Now they are just inconvenient days when the banks are closed and no mail delivery. One compensation is that most stores have a “holiday sale” during every one of them. Saving money is always good.

   Off to church in about an hour. Other than that, not much happening today. The temp is the same as yesterday and won’t change much for the next week or so.

    Good morning, Vagabonds.

    Rita, when my older brother was 13, he announced to our mom that he “is an over-the-top toilet paper man”. That was 57 years ago.

    Today is the first “Ladies to Ladies” meeting of the new year. I am looking forward to visiting and praying with my friends. We always have so much fun.

    It’s about 40 around here with a high expected of 63. Shirtsleeve weather.

    Buddy is really coming out of his shell, but he’s turning into a bit of a bully. He has Pinto pretty well intimidated. We’ll see how things settle, it’s early days yet. Yesterday when we moved I had to bring in the 3 slide outs. Poor buddy was under the bed when I brought in the bedroom one and he bolted in panic for the living room. Then the one he was hiding behind started moving and he didn’t know what to do. Then came the third one and he ended up diving under the table and hid there for a couple of hours. Michael said it reminded him of Star Wars and the trash compactor. When we put the slides back out, he just rode on one of them with no panic at all.
