Yup. Kane lost her lawsuit agent Fleicher, but everything is derivative in the entertainment racket. There was probably someone doing a baby voice in Shakespeare’s era.

That goes back to Helen Kane’s Vaudeville act. Betty Boop was modeled after her. Betty’s still popular, while Helen is nearly forgotten.
Back in my ol’ hometown up north, a luxury apartment building went up in the 1990s, right next to a bell tower that had been operating since the 1850s. Somehow, the residents (and the building’s owners) won a court case to have the hourly BONGing stopped.

Absolutely! Every panel tells a story, and that last one seriously twists imagination and reality into great art.
