    In 6th grade the drinking fountain for the area was right across from our classroom door. The teacher let us get drinks without her writing out a hallway pass since we were in full view of her desk. When the principal found out SHE failed drinking fountain.

    Being the tallest kid, I was bullied because of my size, too. Every insecure pip-squeak knew they could get away with it. Because of my height, I’d always be the one who got in trouble when the teacher inevitably came in. “Shame on you picking on a little kid like that”. I learned how to immobilize these guys by grabbing both their arms in one hand and both their legs in the other and just held them that way till they gave up (until next time).

    I’ve been at people’s death bed who had said for years that they would repent and ‘accept Jesus’ on their deathbed… And when the time came the didn’t, though they had the chance. I guess excuses run hard when you’ve made them all your life.
