    My wife and I have a rescue that was severely malnourished and was therefore food ‘anxious’ when we first got him. He wasn’t aggressive, but he didn’t really pay attention to what was going into his mouth. Consequently, until we got him comfortable and trained, he often tried to eat spoons, the bowl, fingers, or anything else that happened to be near the dish. As soon as he realized it wasn’t actually ‘food’ he would stop and release, but it did lead to a couple scares in the beginning.

    I didn’t say there was an obligation to pay more. What I illustrated is why there is a frustration. When inflation outpaces income growth, regardless of income class, there is a problem. The only difference is that those in higher income classes can more easily absorb such inflation.
