    Perhaps you have read the great book God’s Secretaries about the writing of the King James Version. I recall a C-Span show in which the author was speaking to a small audience at a local book store and you could see it gradually dawn on him that his audience believed that rather than being a deliberate work of translation by a panel of scholar they all actually thought that the Bible had been written in English. I guess they thought God was whispering it into their ears.

    Not exactly true. Lithium is the 25th most common element on Earth and its largest deposits are in Chile and Australia but can be found in large amounts, albeit low concentrations in ocean water.     Cyanobacteria almost destroyed all the existing anaerobic life on earth during the great oxidation event and most likely did cause many species to go extinct. Only the evolution of plants prevented the atmosphere from catching fire. Life is a balancing act.
