She just might, I think it would be good for her, we’ve basically all been putting her down for not being able to do anything but studying for an MD sure is tough. Let her do it!

What’s with Gracie’s hair? Don’t think I’ve seen it free-flowing like this before :) (quite nice actually)

haha yeah a bit of show-off here, we were in Paris in 2012 with our younger two kids, 8 and 12 at the time. Invited a french family we know to have dinner at our airbnb lodgings, they said they’d bring starters. Brought marinated duck hearts from Périgord. Might be the best meat I’ve ever had. My kids gobbled them up and asked for more – the french family was reeeeally impressed!

But then, the rule at my house was you have to try everything, just one bite; if you didn’t like it you could have something else. BUT if we had the same dish a couple weeks later they still had to take that one bite. Get their taste buds used to new stuff one bite at a time. When my youngest (on the autism spectrum even) asked whether we could have eggplant lasagna for dinner I considered my case won :D

(and yes, I do sometimes put a teaspoon of sugar in my chili and other tomato based sauces. Along with the habanero chilies…)
