But what is the JOKE? Dad can’t have “guessed” this complex and unusual equation, and if the kid knows that Dad has indeed helped, he knows enough calc to get the answer himself.

It would make more sense if the first balloon didn’t come from Gray’s direction. Since this is a long-ago repeat strip, it’s not like they couldn’t have fixed it.

Life rings like these aren’t inflated. They’re solid (cork, styrofoam, &c.) and can’t be deflated by puncturing.

We visited Boston over three decades ago, and I swear we came to an intersection that had signs saying: No Right Turn, No Left Turn, No U-Turn, One Way (coming at ya) Ahead, and No Stopping, Parking, or Loitering Allowed.

During our first winter in Lake Charles, LA (before the big hurricanes) we were eaten alive putting our holiday tree up outside on the deck.

The PiS tank looks amazingly like A WWII German Panther tank, perhaps appropriate for a neo-fascist state.

  8. over 1 year ago on Phoebe and Her Unicorn

It was loud enough to shuffle Phoebe’s freckles around!

The left panel squiggles in the upper right above the PIER 21 sign are ever so slightly closer to the right margin than the squiggles in the right panel. It looks like the left panel was copied from the right panel, the print-out was not done with sufficient resolution to capture all the fine detail, and also the paper did not run true in the printer.

Is the gag supposed to be the double meaning of “all counts”?
