When was this halcyon time? The grocery cart issue is so old, I think The Flintstones used it as a gag once.

That is so not how it works.

Her work’s been superseded, especially since a lot of her material was Victorian in origin and they were notoriously bad at ignoring facts so long as it served their fancies.

People just liked it better that way!

Try not to compete with the professionals with those punch lines, eh? They only make sense to tinfoil hat-wearers.

Edison as a company name was already taken a few dozen times over, I think.

Are you sure you want to go to red alert, sir? It will mean changing the bulb.

I’ll put it to you this way. I once had a neighbor who said she ran a lingerie model business. One day, I came home to my apartment and saw the business card of a local police officer stuck into her door. She was gone within two weeks’ time. She said lingerie model. She meant outcall. But on the other paw, my sister once worked as a bikini and lingerie model, and she was not using a euphemism. So it’s like massage businesses. Many are legitimate. Some are non-sexual but an immigration nightmare. Others specialize in the big finish.

OK, we get it, her pie sucks. Sheesh.

Poor training, insular culture, and infiltration by white supremacists. The disease our justice system suffers from begins with who they let wear a badge.
