My house was built around 1965 with a V.A. loan. That loan required wall-to-wall carpet or tile throughout the house. When I pulled up the carpet in a few bedrooms I discovered beautiful, un-walked on hard wood floors that the V.A. had also required. A little sanding and new stain and I have new floors for a fraction of what wood floors would normally cost.

Also, Scottsboro is only 1 hour from Huntsville, the largest city in Alabama and a major NASA and military site and only 90 minutes south of Nashville Tennessee, not so remote.

It’s in Scottsboro, AL because that is a private store that buys unclaimed baggage in bulk from all sources, sorts, cleans, sanitizes, tests and sells items at huge discounts. Well worth the drive once in a while (42 mi for me).

Although the term bug may have been used before, the first documented computer bug was a moth that Commodore (Rear Admiral Lower Half) Grace Hopper found jammed in a mechanical relay. She taped it in her notebook for that day.

So, when did Prince Valiant take a job as one of Tira’s guards?

Sometimes the English spelled it with a K. Spelling was not consistent then, not even names. The news reports when this was found assumed it was one of the wives, probably the first.

Hopefully you have read some or all of the books (I started at age 10 with ones my parents had). Ian Fleming was a masterful story teller and even wrote children’s books like “Chitty Chitty Bang Bang”.

Will we be back in technicolor soon? I am getting tired of Kinemacolor(?).
