Out of our several, a few definitely liked the sweet stuff! Our Vixen loved syrup! Especially the maple – with or without butter!

She’d clean the plate so well you’d think it could go back into the cabinet! Of course, we put it into the dishwasher.

Yeah I know that technically cats shouldn’t be able to even distinguish the sweeter things with that “no sweet receptors” thing, but there HAS to be an explanation! Something else is letting them taste the sweet. And them that’ll eat it, Love It!

Well, this one isn’t a donut but it IS my favorite dessert:

We would get a can of “whomp biscuits” and pull each biscuit into a version of a donut and try to make the hole about evenly spaced. Then fried them in “half donut deep” oil in the black iron skillet. Turn over when the first side is brown enough.

After you take it out of the oil, you plop it on a pile of folded paper towels. After a moment of draining, plop that fresh hot donut into a bowl of real maple syrup with a bit of melted butter for a bit of drama. Let it set up on a “real plate” (not paper or melamine) and See if you can wait until they are cool enough to eat.

    Ummmmmmm! YUM!!

Paper money is only worth what people have an opinion of what its worth is. It used to be backed up with gold but that hasn’t been true since – I think – back in the 40’s.

Coins have greater worth because of the worth of the metal in them.
