Well, they are both con men. Mumbles is a murderer. Dekko is a kidnapper who intended to kill Lizz. They have a lot in common. They should just get along ducky.

I agree that this is totally out of character for Mumbles, who is now apparently a collector. Everybody in Tracyville is a collector of something.

I know what you mean about Tracy rolling on the floor laughing. Here is the whole gang laughing uproariously at Vera Alldid’s name:

I think that’s Mike in the bunny suit.

But but but…Isn’t he supposed to be a human dressed up in a suit and not a real cartoon character?

Even though Tracy and Sam are supposedly investigating, the crime and investigation are the least important thing in the story so far. But, we’ve gotten an overdose of cosplay and memorabilia collecting. It continues to show the reader what the real priorities of the writer of a crime strip are and what takes a back seat.

Mike should start a new strip and call it Cosplay Corner. Then, he could populate it with furry animals and stupid jokes to his heart’s content. There is a time and place for everything. I don’t know where all of this memorabilia and cosplay belongs but Dick Tracy ain’t it.

How long does it take to get to the main criminal? (This question is popping up in nearly every story now)?
