   Regarding all the “hearts” — I have discovered that clicking on “add to your saved comic strips” also automatically “likes” or “hearts” it. That seems kind of stupid to me, because I have many different reasons for wanting to save a strip, including that I think it’s BAD example of something.

   In liturgical churches, yesterday (the first Sunday after Epiphany) was the “Feast of the Baptism of the Lord.” I’m guessing this strip may have been prompted by that.

   I suppose probably Christmas itself has always been a time for feasting, but originally Advent (the four weeks before Christmas) was a FAST — somewhat like Lent, before Easter.

   I’m a Christian and technically an American. (I am a citizen, though I have spent most of my life in Asia and as much time in Africa as in the U.S.) I have good friends of many religious persuasions, including atheist, agnostic, Muslim, Buddhist, and other faiths as well as many brands of Christian.

    I normally would not be reading anything in GoComics on a weekday, but I was curious, yesterday and today, whether there had been any responses to comments I had made. Regarding Mohan’s. I am not absolutely sure, but I don’t think they are here any more. I was in high school here in the ‘60s, together with members of several of the prominent Indian tailoring families. I think some were Mohans, but I didn’t know them well and although I have kept in touch with a few others, they are not among them. And I don’t think I have seen or heard of any Mohan shop for years, or probably decades.
