Learned to read with my brothers' comic books. Often got chased out of the house by my mom on pretty summer days, but I showed her.... I took my comic books to read outside, usually in a tree somewhere. Today, I have a subscription to a real, 7-days-a-week, locally owned newspaper and the comics page is the first thing I read every morning.

Dump’s proof always starts with “many people say….” But of course it’s usually just him saying it.

Your young mom looks exactly like you draw her today! Dad, not so much… but he did rock the facial hair.

Cell-a-Largo! Love it. That’s comic gold, right there.

I had a similar problem as a kid, trying to write “bureau.” Took me forever to find it in the dictionary!

That would mean blocking @Howtheduck, since she is the one who does most of the complaining. That would work for me!

Hard to avoid them in most cities. But I will say my neighbors are great. It’s only the few who run the HOA that are pains in the rear.

Wait… is THAT what their cabbage rolls are? I always figured it was more liked stuffed cabbage (cabbage leaves par boiled, stuffed with meat & rice, and baked with tomato sauce). But now that I think about it, a bread-like roll stuffed WITH cabbage makes more sense with coffee.

Just looked it up. Looks tasty. Basically buns stuffed with whatever you want for a filling. Saw one (easy) recipe that uses canned biscuit dough for the bun part.
