my sisters taught me how to read using comic books. My brother, who was the eldest us 4, was big into buying comics. So I was reading classic comics from the 50’s and 60’s before starting school.

when I was a kid in the 60’s, a bookmoblile came around in the summer. The librarian wouldn’t let me check out young adult/preteen books, so my older sister got them for me. I was reading at a 3rd grade level before starting school.
