   I hope everyone flags the troll who made the malicious comment re: BNFF1. As I’m sure you all can see, BNFF1 has done nothing but review and discuss the strip and interact kindly and positively with users. He has been continually picked on by trolls for absolutely no reason – all the allegations which these morons make against him are 100% false.

   I still think of you as looking and sounding just like Ralph Macchio in The Karate Kid (1984) xD It’s one of my favourite movies. Anyway! I’m really liking this arc as well. The best thing about it is that it’s not as predictable as some of the other arcs have been: I’m genuinely excited about what comes next!

   Just a letter of appreciation from several of us along with some suggestions for the strip (such as exploring Daphne’s character more). Captain Steve Rogers started up a space for discussing this on an old Big Nate strip page (I can’t remember which one now), and the project looked like it was going to be great fun. Everyone who took part was even given cool nicknames by the Captain.

   Does anyone remember Captain Steve Rogers? He came up with the excellent suggestion of writing a letter to Lincoln Peirce last year, and BNFF1 and myself were among the strip readers who were in on the project :) Do you still read the comic, Captain?

   Dee Dee is not just everyone to Francis! She’s supposed to be one of his closest friends, so yes: she does have a special claim on him. Francis distancing himself from her by lumping her with “everyone” is not nice. Now, of course, I know that comic strips need jerks. Where would Peanuts be without the great Lucy Van Pelt? Where would cartoons be without Jerry Mouse and Foghorn Leghorn, for that matter? The trouble with Francis is that he isn’t a colourful, entertaining jerk, or a jerk you love to hate. He’s an annoying and boring jerk.

   Francis is being a jerk. Of course he should give Dee Dee a role in the P.S.A.! That’s what friends are for. Does he actually care about being fair, or is it more a case of his being in a position of power going to his head? He isn’t even being nice to Dee Dee: no “Aww, Dee Dee, I’ll see what I can do”, just a coldly spoken, “let go of my leg” and “everybody wants a part!”

    Daphne and Gina’s relationship as friends intrigues me terrifically, and yet we haven’t seen anything of it. An arc showing those two hanging out would add depth to both Daphne’s and Gina’s character.
