Back when we were doing the CHICAGO to Tampa Drive, we usually took took three days. But that included a late start the first day and an afternoon arrival on the third, so it was probably much like yours. I did most of the driving. I stopped a little more frequently than I used to. I always enjoyed the driving. However, my wife does not like being in the car that long anymore and since I despise the flying experience, don’t want to leave the dog at home, and want to have a free car (mine) if we are in Florida, we just don’t go anymore.
Recycling is a racket. Else they’d pay us to do it & give us easy instructions. Instead, they get the politicians (campaign contributions, anyone?) to require us to do the separation work for free. Then they charge separate fees for the recycling bins. Bah, humbug!
A favorite childhood dish for me. However, most people overcook the liver, making it taste old and feel grainy. I cook it to medium rare – pink, not bloody. Best way is to cook the onions , then add the liver cut in strips & kind of stir fry it on medium heat.
