We have raccoons and possums. I lost one cat to the large male racoon. I have not seen him this . I can smell skunk in the air. It’s cooling now so maybe all the “wild” animals will head for the hills. I really don’t need them.

Well, we have a “new” mosquito that has invaded the central valley of Calif. Called Egyptus something.?? Anyway it can carry the West Nile Virus and can make you pretty sick. It is VERY aggressive and very tiny. It attacks, gets some blood and leaves. Everyone is checking for standing water as they can propagate in something as small as a bottle cap! I do know their bites itch like the dickens. So using lots of repellent and doing what we can do. Abatement folks tells us the mosquito is here to stay…probably. No fun…

Central Cal won’t see any sub 100’s till August! Several outages in my town, different areas. Old power company equipment is failing. Too much load and not enough upgrades. Feel sorry for folks who have no access to cooling facilities..not even a fan! Glad I have a rather large generator so I can at least run fans and my refrigerator! Stay cool friends. Gonna be a long summer!
