   They don’t really know where the poverty line is anymore. Some rich people think that even the most wretched of the poor and homeless use have a bundle stashed away somewhere because well everybody does, don’t they? Especially those who think that they’re self made millionaires because Daddy left them a fortune. They have no concept of literally having nothing.

   It’s a monstrously naïve idea. To people who can’t get their heads out of business, it has the false allure of making perfect sense. And what do we have now that’s jus like business? Competition. The government cannot work together for the betterment of the nation because they can’t stop trying to beat one another.

    MARY TYLER MOORE, M*A*S*H, ALL IN THE FAMILY – lots of better shows ran in the same era. There are good shows and bad shows every season. Quality does not always drive ratings.
