I take your point, but as a practical matter, my memory works by the actual time, not the story length. :-)

It’s just harder for the fate of Kirbee and Chic to have the same emotional impact if we have to scratch our heads to remember where we left off with them.

Terrence wasn’t from Eden, right? Is he going home there with them anyway? I guess he doesn’t have much of an actual home to go back to.

I’m a longtime fan of Endtown, but I’m ready for some resolution to this storyline. The threatened destruction of Eden was over three years ago, and what with all the bouncing around in the meantime, I’ve forgotten much of what was going on then. Was there some reason the world was ending, or did it just start to happen? Duffy’s kid brother had disappeared … because of Topsiders? I vaguely remember other versions of Marx picking up Kirbee and Chic.

The writers seem to regret ever having aged the characters out of middle school. They’re not comfortable writing them as young adults.

Lillian is a published author, but she can’t prepare a paragraph of her own bio?

Based on that weird bottle, it looks like he’s nipping straight from a fifth of rum. At lunchtime, no less.

Imagine the guilt trip his mother would lay on him if he ever tried to leave home.

Batiuk just got done showing the whole town driving through a massive snowstorm to attend a senior citizen performance of the Messiah.

I remember around June of 2020, I got an email from the doctor who’d done my colonoscopy the year before, announcing “WE’VE REOPENED!” I found myself thinking, “well, it’s something to do…”
