I guess I am stuck wondering…Who is the bigger dipsh*t here? Is it the dimwitted parent who is overreacting in their attempt to insulate little Skippy or Buffy from the realities of the world? Is it the tukus smooching administrator who is trying to placate and validate the dimwit? Not to toss water on the idea of Jack becoming a vet, but I live next to one of, if not the top veterinary programs in the country. I am well aware of how frightfully competitively and academically hard it is to get into the program to become a vet, not to mention the cost. I wish him the best with it, but it is not something you just show up to at school and the door swing open.
That poor child. Her mother is a overbearing helicopter of a nightmare. Either she is a single/divorced parent, or the father is henpecked to death or rarely there, probably by choice. The girl will end up with a laundry list of issue that will haunt her well into the future.
