I found that out the hard way. Went from a staff RN to a management position, hourly wage was a little bit higher but was limited to 40 hours no matter how much you worked, made less as manager than as staff with more headaches and grief. Went back to staff for the last 25 years and much happier and wealthier, could leave work at work and not have to deal with all of the BS that happened when I was not there.

The only trawling Andy would be suitable for is trawling for beer.

Wish that was a gift she could return. Hope she is doing okay, lately it just seems to take the form of a nasty cold, miserable but not nearly as deadly as earlier versions.

Happy belated birthday to the nipper.

Wonder if Andy would like to slip out of a wetsuit and into a dry martini?

Thanks, I got the Guy Fawkes bit but had never heard of the penny for fireworks.

Best wishes for a happy birthday and many more to come. (If I remember correctly, another daily poster has one coming up soon)

Maybe from his mother-in-law: There was a strip where Andy answered and slammed the door and told Florrie it was a peddler. Florrie asked what they were peddling and Andy replied “peddling meddling”.

….and it takes twice as long to get rid of half of the amount you used to be able void.
