I see Cathy’s sign of hope a sign of bondage … I stopped carrying a purse 18 years ago and no longer have upper back aches! (I also am not setting myself up to be mugged,)
Onions and garlic, too. My Mother said I never ate sweets, but was notorious for going to the garden and pulling green onions to eat after washing dirt off with a hose. My favorite sandwich is onion on rye.
Our cantor years ago was Russian; after eating my winter borscht, he told everyone that a little vodka and my borscht would keep anyone warm on the coldest night in Siberia. :-)
The word spread that I’m a sucker for cats! Friday, my black cat that sits in the window waiting for me to get up was there; only 3 will come in the house to supervise me getting their food; Tabby returned yesterday and I’m back to 6 again.
I have a doctor appointment in the morning and am dreading it; a new issue has cropped up and I don;t think I can handle another devastating diagnosis; need huge prayers – details to follow.
I also use Carbonite to back up my files – the best money I spend. People think an external drive is sufficient; but I know in an emergency, the only concern is to get to safety! (I was also used to back-up data for state files being kept off-site – far safer!) What a lovely birthday gift! :-)
Deal! I hope I don’t get any more “fun” news tomorrow; find myself wondering how much can a human take? I also decided I wished G-d didn’t trust me so much!! LOL
I got sick … getting old is not for chickens!; I’m better now, but still trying to get caught up – still can’t sit very long. OY! I hope everything going well with you and your wife,
Hello Jim’ bad bout with a new diagnosis; if I can get my act together, will see if I can get you caught up – trying to do as little as possible so I can get to doctor appt, tomorrow. I hope all is well with you and your wife! :-)
