Bottled drinking water is neither sterilized nor sterile. Any doctor would tell you never use it on contact lenses unless it is a critical emergency such as to flush eyes following a chemical spray. Bottled water is simply filtered. It must be handled properly. If you doubt whether there are organisms in plain drinking water (it’s not pleasant, but they are there and usually harmless), leave a bottle in sunlight for a while and soon you will see color changes followed by vegetation. Definitely not sterile. If you need sterile water, be certain to check the label and only use the package once. Once opened, and exposed to room air, any unused product will not remain sterile.

I miss my baby. He was rescued from a shelter. He was part Siamese and was a talker. Later in his life, he went deaf, but that’s no problem. He had been used to me signing for years. Even funnier was he learned to make a couple gestures that resembled sign language. He would put his paw to his mouth to sign FOOD. He would do a version of waving hello, because he was used to me signing HI! every time I saw him. He was a character. I loved all my shelter babies. I would never go anywhere else to find a feline or canine roommate.

I’m waiting for the last strip in this arc to read “and the worst thing I ever did was make all of you read this stupid arc!”

This is funnier right now because we just had a boil water advisory where I live a few weeks ago and the news said to use bottled water – as long as you are not putting the water into your own bottle. Ummm… yeah, isn’t that the point of the advisory?

The mall I used to work in had several walking clubs. I’m sorry it closed. After the last vendor left the food court, a couple clubs started packing sandwiches and drinks and sharing with the other clubs. I really enjoyed working there and seeing the neighborly way people acted there.

Why is everyone like rain today? They all wound up in the gutter.

If these snotty little brats grew up with my parents, they would be on Medicare before they ever saw ice cream again. They never say thank you for anything, are constantly whining, and have the social graces of a feral cat. Disgusting. We were not perfect children (there are no such thing), but we appreciated what we were given, and were taught respect for others. Bragging got you sent from the room, and disrespect got you punished.
