The premise is OK on the surface. But the thing is this. You can see POC and acknowledge the differences of our culture. It’s who we are and makes us who we are. Being colorblind is great as long as it doesn’t try to “sanitize” groups to make them more palatable. Some people use the phrase to actually negate our experiences by turning a blind eye to actual injustices or making excuses such as “that wasn’t the reason the cop killed an innocent woman in her home.” If you can be colorblind while embracing other’s culture while calling out racism then that’s a marvelous thing. Sadly a lot of folks can’t.
