Agreed. I think they will stop when we—for the most part, are all living and working in Milltowns.

Elaborate, please? As I have too often seen politicians trying to blame the need for government security nets for the less fortunate—those needing assistance—food, money, housing, etc., as being the reason why the middle class are taxed the way they are; while 1) not addressing the fact that ever since FDR left the Oval Office politicians—republicans mainly, have been chipping away at what the rich are being billed (paying in taxes) for living in this “free” country and 2) government subsides pale in comparison to the other expenditures—like say defense.

People like me? Are more concerned with the basis of the argument unlike those that keep trying—ad nauseam, to prove how “right” they are regarding the nomenclature; when in actually, with each comment, they prove themselves the deflecting tool—deflecting away from the question—and ultimately, the answer(s) involved. I mean look at all those words and comment after comment…oh, and by the way, a far more accurate description of a Black Hole (which like all gravitational wells requires lots and lots of mass—you do remember Newton, right? But thanks for your dictionary definition that I have known for over 1/2 a century) would be a Black Body—a really, really dense black body where time and space become intertwined so to speak. So, how about we debate that nonsense for a few days, eh. And then we can discuss tired light. And after that…

So, with that being said, again the question—that you have yet to answer: what is your stance regarding private ownership of weapons of mass carnage.

During those times? I would posit that the first goto was that the ship just sailed off the edge? (evil grin)

    Another favorite quote of mine:

“We are all atheists about most of the gods that humanity has ever believed in. Some of us just go one god further.”

I have always liked that line and is second on my list that includes, “The greatest trick that rich republicans ever pulled was convincing the middle class that the poor were their enemy.”

The search phrase was “schools with armed guards” and from the results it appears that there were multiple schools with armed guards and shootings. Nice attempt at trying to troll the comments though. Next time do some legitimate homework, first.

Well, you didn’t look very hard. And I’m pretty sure most parents send their kids to school to learn, not be a bystander of the re-enactment of the Okay Corral shootout.

Table 2 and show armed guards were not associated with significant reduction in rates of injuries; in fact, controlling for the aforementioned factors of location and school characteristics, the rate of deaths was 2.83 times greater in schools with an armed guard present imagine that.

“pressure cooker” Plus consider the range of a pressure cooker: arm’s length? distance of your throwing arm? distance a trebuchet can hurl it? Hahaha, only the last comes close to the competitive reach of a bullet throwing weapon.
