I think this is how they ‘level the playing field’ for equality of the sexes.
Nice. I’m kinda starting to like that kid.
Uh, hate to have to point this out but, yeah, someday you will. Best advice I ever got was to make the people I chose as my family – partner, kids, (grandkids, etc.) – my foremost priority, over my family by chance. Doesn’t mean loving anyone less, just means what it means, and am glad my Dad was emphatic about this because he was right.
Skippy knows himself pretty well, and probably never even heard of Socrates. :-)
Possibly they are us…or we are them? Whether in the far or near distance their expressions speak volumes – like ‘Oh yeah, this won’t end well…or will be hilarious…or boy is somebody’s going to be in trouble’. They have plausible deniability because they can fly far way and act innocent, being “just” birds. But they can’t resist coming back to see what’s next. :-D
Sometimes people pay for something simply because it has value to them. We do it every day online and in person, regardless of how much the store is “swimming in money”.
Don’t look for printed encyclopedias at the library, it’s been more than a decade since they went extinct. What’s your beef with Wikipedia? Just because we can get information differently, that doesn’t make it bad. In 2015 Wikipedia was digitally formatted for 700-page soft-cover volumes, which could create a set of 7000 ‘books’. More recently it was calculated all of Wikipedia would fill over 3,000 old school hard-back encyclopedia volumes. And, no, I didn’t even get this info from Wikipedia, but I double-checked it there. ;-)
I’m not telling, but that’s a good question – it surprised me when I learned as an adult. :-)
I suspected this was the case when I was a teenager. :-)
Yes, that’s what I replied with yesterday.
