    Inauguration Day of Reagan’s first term I was walking to the campus cafeteria with an ultra liberal colleague. Since the University Hospital was nearby, the sound of medical helicopter’s was quite familiar. At the sound of a helicopter approaching, my colleague started screaming that Reagan’s, takeover had started, the attack had begun, take cover, as she ran toward some shrubs with her head down. When she realized what was really going on, she was somewhat relieved, but not embarrassed. She lived in fear for years.

    At least cigarette add were directed to viewers who could legally buy product. Most pharmaceutical ads are directed at viewers who cannot legally obtain the product without a prescription. If I want ChillPill, I have to pay a physician and convince them I need it.

    Before I started reading Pastis, I thought puns were funny. But I was familiar with them as spontaneous spoken one-liners. Usually as a completely unexpected comment or question responding to something someone else had said. No set-uo, prompt, no delay. A true art.
