I’ll say “Spot on Mr. Spony!!” Looks like Mr. Lester got himself into a bit of a cuckold’s knot with that one. Careful who you hitch your horse to :)

Comic Man – are these politicians who you rely on to tell the truth?

Do you make $75,000 or less? Democrats’ new army of 87,000 IRS agents will be coming for you—with 710,000 new audits for Americans who earn less than $75k.— Kevin McCarthy (@GOPLeader) August 9, 2022

If you think the federal government is out of control now, God help us when you get 87,000 new IRS agents who are looking under every rock and stone to get money out of your pocket. pic.twitter.com/DtHBB9atA3— Lindsey Graham (@LindseyGrahamSC) August 10, 2022

Why won’t Democrats add 87,000 school resource officers instead of IRS agents?— Rep. Mark Green (@RepMarkGreen) August 11, 2022

After todays raid on Mar A Lago what do you think the left plans to use those 87,000 new IRS agents for?— Marco Rubio (@marcorubio) August 9, 2022

The FBI raids Trump’s house and the Democrats vote to add 87,000 new IRS agents to go after Americans. Wake up, America.— Richard Grenell (@RichardGrenell) August 8, 2022

If the FBI can raid the home of a former US President, imagine what 87,000 more IRS agents will do to you.— Jim Banks (@RepJimBanks) August 8, 2022

The trouble with all this is, well, it’s bulls#it. That 87,000 estimate represents everything from IT techs to customer service people who answer the phone and help you file your return. Second, it includes attrition. For some perspective, the IRS workforce last year totaled 78,661 full-time equivalent positions—down from 94,709 a decade earlier. And no, the IRS is not doubling its workforce. Republican politicians know this. But they are lying to make it sound as though jack-booted thugs dispatched by the Democrats are about to come knock down your front door. And folks like you just eat this deceitful rhetoric up like candy GET AN EFFING CLUE !!!

Suck it up Mike- pay your taxes and you’ve got nothing to worry about. The IRS needs more manpower to oversee all those that get “creative” with filing their taxes or find those that think they can freeload by not paying. Your not one of those libertarian “taxation is theft” freethinkers are you?

Pack it up Dana —you and the rest of the traitorous #uck$— it’s over baby.

Curious to see what Lester has to say in a future “installment” WRT the Biden administration’s elimination of Ayman al-Zawahiri. He spent a good month’s worth of strips last August itshaying on the administration’s decision to honor Trump’s deadline for a US pull out. Now that we’ve finally taken out the No. 2 man behind bin Laden, I’m sure he’ll be as silent as a mouse and will proudly have the balls of one as well.

Let’s see – the last count for Covid deaths in the US was at 1.03M. You think identity politics had something to do with the early response to the pandemic? You bet your sweet bippy it did.

Lester- you are an utter farce. The American people viewing in this “soap opera” are finally seeing all that was hidden from their view by this psychopathic president and his Kool-aid administration. Thank God many now have stopped drinking his evil punch and are sharing their stories with the REAL patriots of this country who CARE about preserving this democracy. Move on with your false message and get in touch with reality.

Mike—you speak with such conviction as if you had personally reviewed each shooter to confirm your flawed findings!! Pshaw!!! I’m quite sure there is more than a zero chance that some of these shooters are pro-life (the Buffalo shooter actually apologized to a white bystander who was the manager), religious (again, the Buffalo shooter aligned with the values of the White Christian Nationalism), and gun-nuts (did I miss something with all three shooters being well provisioned with a variety of modified high capacity weapons??). Unemployed? Some were. Godless? Perhaps. But the next White Christian Nationalist shooter FILLED with religion that lays waste to his victims in the name of god in order to preserve the purity of his tribe’s supremacist Christian worldview puts us one step closer to being just like the Taliban. They WILL come thanks to the Republican right legitimizing (in their minds) their cause and they are WELL armed and will continue this fine American tradition of “muh guns” and “muh freedums” and more mass shootings.

And for you to use an LGBT reference as the source of the evil that encourages these mass shootings is complete BULLS#!T It is your sad little trademark go-to. Surely your momma taught you better.

Lisa- if you’re referring to the two huge Republican bombshells of the Supreme Court Roe v. Wade (and other SNAFUs) and the Jan6 revelations of the Traitor in Chief then I’d say you’re spot on with half of your attempt of editorial humor.
