Maybe your newspaper, but that isn’t the way it worked for the Sacramento Bee or the Eugene Register-Guard. The Sac Bee lets its readers choose every few years by asking them to submit their favorites and least favorites.
Tara has a much more active imagination than Luann. Luann showed imagination when she thought how she could house her pony in her bedroom, and that is about as good as it got. Tara can think up new ideas and put them immediately to paper. Her thoughts flow like a river. Luann writes about her experiences. Let’s see her write about her fantasies.
Buzz Sawyer continued for several years after being pulled from the newspaper in Eugene. It folded in 1989, but it wasn’t in any newspaper I read during those years. The Sacramento Bee no longer has Luann.
I agree this story is too slow moving. Suddenly I remember Buzz Sawyer. The Eugene Register-Guard was flooded with complaints, so the strip was pulled. The only thing we missed was knowing if the baby was a boy or girl. Come on. Speed it up.
