   in NY we had sled parties when our hill was iced over. We had maybe 6-8 sleds and toboggans linked together- hands holding feet, and pine tree lining either side of the hill. what fun that was. Thank you Bill Waterson!

   ok, but Japan was a feudal, closed society, with a high rate of poverty. The US created a 180 deg turnaround with how they lived, albeit with a largely unnecessary and terrible cost (A bombs)

    Mine was Irish. she saved foil, plastic bags for reuse. I think that is a trait that should come back. think of how much less trash there might be, sigh.
