As Daniel Patrick Moynihan susinctly put it, you’re entitled to your own opinion, but you’re not entitled to your own facts. It’s not because “there isn’t enough electricity”, it’s because of the demand during the current massive heat wave. It’s a temporary request by the state for just the Labor Day Weekend.

    Here’s the accurate context:

But now state officials are telling drivers not to charge their electric cars during the upcoming Labor Day weekend, when temperatures are expected to hit triple digits for millions of residents, putting a strain on the power grid.

This week, the California Independent System Operator, which oversees the state’s flow of electricity, urged residents to avoid charging their electric vehicles over the long weekend, particularly from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. That’s when the state’s power grid experiences the highest demand as residents turn on their air conditioning and solar energy production declines as the sun goes down.

Thank you, but you might want to check out “Wallace The Brave” if you don’t already have it in your favorites. Will Henry’s work is absolutely fabulous.

Thank you everyone for your kind words, but there seems to be a misinterpretation by some here. No, I am not planning on retiring. Not planning on going another 30 years either!
