Yes, the murder of children is still shocking enough to merit national coverage. For now….

“Fun” fact: being shot is one of the leading causes of death in children for several years running.

The Michigan State shooting had one survivor who also survived Sandy Hook, and several other survivors who also survived the November 2021 mass shooting at their high school in Detroit. This is the country we’ve decided to become.

At any rate, there have been several dozen mass shootings since Michigan State’s shooting, and not one of them has led the newscast the way this comic portrays.

If it wasn’t for disappointments, I wouldn’t have any appointments

It’s a minor issue due to the relative having been a Senator for 50 years, and VP for 8. But it doesn’t seem to rise above and beyond the usual level of corruption most politicians employ, other than republicans control the US House, which has the power of investigation into Democrats

Did they actually get him, though? He’s still out of jail, and NOT awaiting trial.

Today’s “high rent area” is next decade’s “affordable housing”. The housing needs to be built, and it’s the only thing in this economy that actually “trickles down”

Mass shootings are so common now, they don’t even make the news anymore

In some parts of the Oregon Trail there is only one rut. That’s the moment that Jesus took the wheel.

People got a check once per month from the government. It wasn’t cash money, but it was still money. From the government. Directly to people.

I remember as a kid being told that the USSR forbid photography of bridges and government buildings, and after 9/11 we’ve become the totalitarian state we always claimed we would never be.
