Yeah, we’re looping back around to her, shouldn’t be too much longer (I believe she’s the foster that comes after the pups).

Hey, they actually pulled that off pretty well! And here I was thinking Amelia was going to at least be a little skeptical.

Also, look at Rose, being the proactive one, ready to jump in and render aid (assuming it WAS an actual emergency, but it’s still the thought that counts).

In Bleeker’s case, it was probably to play it safe and to avoid potential copyright issues with the original Hoover name, considering there are actual brands with the Hoover name out there already. Also, at the same time, the comic underwent a number of other changes that I think ultimately did help refine it overall, so I always saw it as a plus, personally.

But yeah, syndicates (or really any bureaucrats in the world of creative content) can sometimes get so focused on maximizing marketability that they forget creativity is a large part of drawing in consumers as well.

Which is why I ultimately couldn’t complain TOO much about it when it happened, because I could see why they figured a new title would do a better job drawing in readers, and with the comic starting to go big time at the time, obviously maximizing it’s marketability was desired. And I can respect that much.

That said, “Heavenly Nostrils” is still the more creative sounding title, and very distinctive of Dana Simpson’s particular brand of humor. :D

On the upside…you get to see a lot of historic bridges.
