   It is very interesting Chris Britt gets so few comments from regressive clowns. I think it’s because Britt is usually so spot on that the ignorant have little in the way of smarmy lies to offer.    As with everything Trump gets involved in, the insurrection was incompetently led and executed. Anything and anyone Trump touches is worse for the experience. This is true even when the ignorant rubes soak up the lies and conspiratorial nonsense with foolish glee.

   Incompetence does not diminish the treason or mitigate the lies. It only makes the crimes and the criminals look to be the fools that they are.

   Your demonstrated ignorance and maladapted world view is the very wellspring of the foolish incompetence you rightfully scorn.

   But you probably don’t have the capacity to comprehend the previous sentence, which is the real tragedy.

   It’s hard to believe there are apologists like Lester for an armed insurrection that tried to overthrow our government. Those who broke into the Capitol, and those who support them are seditious traitors.

   Mike, you are included in that label. Traitors don’t deserve the blessings of our democracy by trying to tear it down with lies and violence directly aimed at that democracy.

   You want to transport Canadian tar sands crude oil for shipment to other countries?

   But you don’t want to build bridges, repair roads, repair water systems, upgrade the electrical grid, provide Internet to red states’ rural citizens and promote alternative energy to fight climate change?

   And you enjoy the fact that the Republicans consistently refuse to overhaul our immigration laws or fund the legal processing of immigrants?

   Hmmmm. Are you “FOR” anything? Or do you just want to whine about stuff?

   Tell me what the Republican policy position is on something. Anything. Just what are you FOR? Lying about elections? Storming the Capitol? Hating gay people? Deregulating railroads? Fomenting racial unrest? Cops killing innocent people? What do you want, anyway? Do you even know?

   Yes, there’s always that subtle little problem with science, isn’t there?

   But let’s see if we can bring some Captain Obvious to the discussion:

   —The virus is airborne and transmitted through the respiratory pathways.

   —Cover up the respiratory pathways sufficely (with a tight-fitting gas mask, let’s say ) and transmission is reduced to zero.

   -Stand a few feet away from an infected individual outside with a faint breeze, and transmission never happens-the virus particles get dispersed quickly.

   These are facts.

   Hmmm. Given these established facts close to the polar ends of the transmission continuum, Sovan has a hard time figuring out whether masks can help prevent transmission of the virus.

   Just amazing.

   Sovan is seeking confirmation of his political viewpoint about an overarching government. I get it. Don’t tread on Sovan because for Sovan, it’s all about Sovan.

   As to the toon, well, of course Mike Lester doesn’t mind lying. And, judging from his defensiveness on the topic, my guess is he either teaches his kids to lie, or tries to shield them from his lies. Who knows? But he’s not interested in portraying a verity. He’s just focused on Fox talking points to exploit the attention economy.

   I always appreciate it when you fight nonsense with facts. It’s tiring, I’m sure.

   But I think it was Mark Twain who said that lies go all the way around the world while the truth is still putting its boots on. There are many who have been so thoroughly propagandized that they WANT to believe the lies.

   Goebbels would be proud of you, Breck Coleman. You are obviously easily misled and like it that way.
